Hello Gilham Families, 

• Regular School Schedule -- The school schedule – 

Monday/Tuesday/Thursday/Friday  starting at 7:55  and ending at  2:25.

Wednesday starts at 7:55 and ends at 1:10.

• NO SCHOOL, Monday, Feb. 16 - Presidents Day – There is no school on Monday, February 16th, for Presidents Day.

• Electronics Recycling Competition - DONATE NOW! – Do you have unwanted, unused, or broken electronics in your home, but don’t know what to do with them? Donate in the bin in by the office to help Gilham win the 2026 Electronics Recycling Competition! Donate now through beginning of April.

• Attendance Matters, Be on Time! – Class activities start promptly in the morning. This morning class time is one of the most important times of the day. When a child comes in late, not only have they missed valuable class time, it is disruptive to their classmates.  

As a family, work on routines to help your child get to school on time.  Adjust times if needed to allow for the traffic at drop off.  Students should be in their classrooms by 7:55.  If they arrive after 7:55 then they are tardy and will need to check in at the office.

•Breakfast & Lunch Menus – Breakfast and lunch menus are available on the 4J Menu Website.  Make sure you filter to Gilham Elementary.

• Horario Escolar Regular – El horario escolar –

El miércoles comienza a las 7:55 y termina a la 1:10.

• NO HAY CLASES el lunes 16 de febrero, Día de los Presidentes. No hay clases el lunes 16 de febrero por el Día de los Presidentes.

• Concurso de Reciclaje de Electrónicos - ¡DONA AHORA! ¿ Tienes aparatos electrónicos no deseados, sin usar o rotos en casa, pero no sabes qué hacer con ellos? Dona en el contenedor junto a la oficina para ayudar a Gilham a ganar el Concurso de Reciclaje de Electrónicos 2026. Dona desde ahora hasta principios de abril.

• ¡La asistencia es importante, llega puntual! – Las clases comienzan puntualmente por la mañana. Esta hora de clase es uno de los momentos más importantes del día. Cuando un niño llega tarde, no solo pierde tiempo valioso de clase, sino que también interrumpe a sus compañeros.

En familia, establezcan rutinas para ayudar a su hijo a llegar a tiempo a la escuela. Si es necesario, ajusten los horarios para tener en cuenta el tráfico al dejar a los niños. Los estudiantes deben estar en sus aulas a las 7:55. Si llegan después de las 7:55, se considera que han llegado tarde y deberán registrarse en la oficina.
