Calling all Duck families! – On November 3rd, mark your calendars and get ready for the University of Oregon Family Day! Your Oregon Volleyball team will take on the Utah Utes in a fun atmosphere centered around families!

Learn to Ride a Bike – Thursday, October 19th
Drop-in between 4-6 pm
4J Safe Routes to School program and partners are hosting another free, all-ages learn-to-ride-a-bike event for “not-yet-riders” at the 4J Ed Center at 200 N. Monroe St., Oct 19th, drop-in 4-6 pm. Click here for more information
Students can wear costumes to school — Tuesday, October 31st students can come to school in a favorite costume or fancy outfit. The following costume dress code will be enforced:
- Students must be able to remove the costume to use the bathroom independently
- NO props or weapons or weapon-like props
- NO costume masks
- NO especially scary, gory costumes, or blood
- NO inflatable costumes
- NO dressing as another race, ethnicity, or culture

This clinic is for dancers of all ages (Pre-K – 8th grade) as we will be splitting up into different clinics/groups.
REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED! (Must register BEFORE the 25th to get a shirt) REGISTER HERE
Toys for Tots Information – 4J Welcome Center will once again be hosting and collaborating with Toys for Tots this year to be a satellite distribution site for all 4J families with students from ages 0-13yrs old.
Deadline: Nov 24, no applications will be accepted after this date.

Breakfast & Lunch Menus – Breakfast and lunch menus are available on the 4J Menu Website. Make sure you filter to Gilham Elementary.
PTO Updates:
Jaguars, we have a busy week!
The Scholastic Book Fair starts tomorrow. Doors open at 7:30am for shoppers and again after school until 3:30pm. Also, we have an evening shopping session on Wednesday from 5-6:30. A great opportunity to bring the family and pick out books together.
Don’t forget to join us for our Papa’s Pizza Fundraiser on Tuesday the 17th. It will be a great night to skip cooking! Flier here.
Then our October PTO meeting is on Thursday at 5:30pm in the library. Please join us and learn about what the PTO does and all of the opportunities that you can get involved in.
