Hello Gilham Families,
Last Day of School Dismissal @11:10 — Mark your calendars!
Thursday, June 15th is the last day of school and dismissal is at 11:10.
Medications: If your child has any medications at school, please set yourself a reminder now to drop by the office to pick those up before June 15th. We will not be returning medications on the last day of school unless it is an emergency medication. We cannot keep medications over the summer and we cannot give them to your child to bring home. Field Day – Field Day is happening on Tuesday the 13th. Please remember to send your student ready to participate. They need to bring a water bottle, have appropriate shoes, and should put sunscreen on before school. If they bring sunscreen they need to be able to administer it themselves and it can not be shared with others.
Lost & Found – Check the Lost & Found before the end of the year for any missing jackets, hats, gloves, lunch boxes, or other items. We will move it outside on Tuesday and Wednesday after school.
Anything left on the last day of school will be donated.
FREE Student LTD Transit Passes for Summer – All students in 4J schools can get a student pass to ride Lane Transit District (LTD) buses for free.
To get a free LTD student transit pass, available as a tap card or Umo smartphone app, guardians/parents can make the request at the front office. Passes are valid from September 1 of the current school year to September 30 of the following year and can be renewed by the school each year for ongoing free service.

Join us to celebrate the last day of school with Sweetbay Shave Ice at their Oakway location at 1385 Oakway Rd! Bring in this flyer or show it on your smartphone on Thursday, June 15th from 11:00am-2:30pm and 20% of your purchase will be donated back to Gilham!!
We will be hosting 3 playdates this summer at Gilham Park. We want to make connections with incoming kindergarten families to welcome them and answer any questions they may have. We hope to meet many new faces, and we would love to see familiar faces as well! Come, hang out, and let the kids play! Those dates are July 31st at 10am-12pm, August 8th at 4-6pm, August 26th at 10 am-12pm.
Our first PTO meeting for next year will be August 17th, in the Gilham library at 5:30 pm. Please come and help us start planning all the fun events for the year! We have some great ideas in the works and need more volunteers to help make everything come to fruition! Let’s make things happen for the awesome kids and teachers of Gilham Elementary!
