Hello Gilham Families,
Last Day of School Dismissal @11:10 — Mark your calendars!
Friday, June 14th is the last day of school and dismissal is at 11:10.
Medications – If your child has any medications at school, please set yourself a reminder now to drop by the office to pick those up on or before June 13th. We will not be returning medications on the last day of school unless it is an emergency medication or taken daily before 11:10AM. We cannot keep medications over the summer and they must be picked up by a parent/guardian. Please email Nurse Cathy with any questions or if special arrangements are needed. Have a great break! Library Books are due – Please help your child look for any missing books and try to get them turned in.
Lost and Found – We have a lot of clothes in the lost and found. Please remind your student to look for any lost items. At the end of the school year we will be donating the items that are left behind.
String Academy 1 – 2024-25 Season – The Eugene-Springfield Youth Orchestras' String Academy program offers beginning strings classes after school for 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders. Scholarships are available - and we provide the instruments!
Help us bring String Academy to our school again next fall! 1. REGISTER HERE or fill out the form at the QR code to let ESYO know you want beginning strings classes at your Holt this fall. 2. Spread the word! We need 12 students per school to offer strings class.
Breakfast & Lunch Menus – Breakfast and lunch menus are available on the 4J Menu Website. Make sure you filter to Gilham Elementary.
PTO Updates:
Thank you to the volunteers that gave their time to help out at field day today! The students love this event and it’s a fun way to end the year!
Kona Ice will be here after school on Friday. Hang out after the final bell and enjoy a treat, support our last fundraiser, and celebrate the start of summer! They will be in the parking lot in front of the school.
Last but not least; keep your eye out for dates for our Playdates in the Park at the Gilham Park this summer. It’s a great way to meet incoming families and catch up with old friends!
If you’re not already signed up to receive emails from the PTO, do that here. That is how we will be sharing lots of great information from the new PTO board over the summer. Thank you for all of your support this year helping the PTO take care of our teachers and staff and build connections with our community. Hola familias de Gilham,
Salida del último día de clases a las 11:10 - ¡Marque sus calendarios!
El viernes 14 de junio es el último día de clases y la salida es a las 11:10.
Medicamentos: si su hijo tiene algún medicamento en la escuela, programe un recordatorio ahora para pasar por la oficina a recogerlos antes del 13 de junio. No devolveremos medicamentos el último día de clases a menos que sea un medicamento de emergencia o que se tome diariamente antes de las 11:10 a. m. No podemos conservar los medicamentos durante el verano y deben ser recogidos por un padre/tutor. Envíe un correo electrónico a la enfermera Cathy si tiene alguna pregunta o si necesita arreglos especiales. ¡Que tengas un buen descanso! Erickson_c@4J.lane.edu
Los libros de la biblioteca están vencidos: ayude a su hijo a buscar los libros que faltan y trate de entregarlos.
Objetos perdidos y encontrados: tenemos mucha ropa en objetos perdidos y encontrados. Recuerde a su estudiante que busque cualquier artículo perdido. Al final del año escolar donaremos los artículos que queden.
String Academy 1 - Temporada 2024-25: el programa String Academy de las Orquestas Juveniles de Eugene-Springfield ofrece clases de cuerdas para principiantes después de la escuela para estudiantes de 3.º, 4.º y 5.º grado. ¡Hay becas disponibles y nosotros proporcionamos los instrumentos!
¡Ayúdanos a traer String Academy a nuestra escuela nuevamente el próximo otoño! 1. Por último, pero no menos importante; Esté atento a las fechas de nuestras Playdates in the Park en Gilham Park este verano. ¡Es una excelente manera de conocer familias nuevas y ponerse al día con viejos amigos!
