Hello Gilham Families,
No School Friday, June 7th – Grading Day. There is no school on Friday, June 7th for Report Card Grading Day.
Report Cards will be sent home with students on the last day of school.
Medications – If your child has any medications at school, please set yourself a reminder now to drop by the office to pick those up on or before June 13th. We will not be returning medications on the last day of school unless it is an emergency medication or taken daily before 11:10AM. We cannot keep medications over the summer and they must be picked up by a parent/guardian. Please email Nurse Cathy with any questions or if special arrangements are needed. Have a great break! Field Day – We will be having a Gilham Field Day on Monday, June 10th.

Library Books are due – Please help your child look for any missing books and try to get them turned in.
Last Day of School Dismissal @11:10 — Mark your calendars!
Friday, June 14th is the last day of school and dismissal is at 11:10.
Lost and Found – We have a lot of clothes in the lost and found. Please remind your student to look for any lost items. At the end of the school year we will be donating the items that are left behind.
Intent to Return to Gilham for the 2024/25 School Year -- We are collecting information to start planning for next year and we need to know if your student is returning to Gilham. Please respond by May 24th. You will need to submit this for each of your children attending Gilham. Click here for the Intent to Return Form.
Summer Reading at Eugene Public Library – Starting June 1, Eugene Public Library's Summer Reading Program helps students keep their skills up while school's out and offers a full calendar of free fun. Each kid and teen gets to choose a free gift book to keep from an enormous selection with something for everyone. Plus: play book bingo. And all ages can pick up a card at the library. All summer, join in the fun and learning at free events including hands-on activities, games, performances, and more. OBOB 2025 Titles – Need any ideas for summer reading? Check out OBOB's 2025 Titles and start reading today! Some titles are available in Sora now and others are available at Eugene Public Library.
Breakfast & Lunch Menus – Breakfast and lunch menus are available on the 4J Menu Website. Make sure you filter to Gilham Elementary.
PTO Updates:
A Night Out at Gilham was a success! We could not have done it without the dedicated volunteers that gave their time. We look forward to doing this again next year.
Our final #GilhamDinnerClub is at Papa’sPizza this Wednesday, June 5th. We hope to see many of you there. Flyers went home in backpacks on Friday.
Kona Ice will be here after school on the last day; Friday, June 14th. We hope you can stick around after school to enjoy the treat, support our last fundraiser, and celebrate the start of summer!

Hola familias de Gilham,
No hay clases Viernes 7 de junio – Día de calificaciones . No habrá clases el viernes 7 de junio para el día de calificaciones.
Las boletas de calificaciones se enviarán a casa con los estudiantes el último día de clases.
Medicamentos: si su hijo tiene algún medicamento en la escuela, programe un recordatorio ahora para pasar por la oficina a recogerlos antes del 13 de junio. No devolveremos medicamentos el último día de clases a menos que sea un medicamento de emergencia o que se tome diariamente antes de las 11:10 a.m. No podemos conservar los medicamentos durante el verano y deben ser recogidos por un padre/tutor. Objetos perdidos y encontrados: tenemos mucha ropa en objetos perdidos y encontrados. Recuerde a su estudiante que busque cualquier artículo perdido. Al final del año escolar donaremos los artículos que queden.
Intención de regresar a Gilham para el año escolar 2024/25: estamos recopilando información para comenzar a planificar el próximo año y necesitamos saber si su estudiante regresará a Gilham.
