Hello Gilham Families,
Regular School Schedule — The doors will open at 7:50.
Monday – Thursday starting at 7:55 and ending at 2:25.
Friday starts at 7:55 and ends at 1:10.
Imagination Library – The first graders were recently able to take a field trip to the downtown public library. At the end of the visit each participant was able to receive a free book to keep courtesy of the local Imagination Library Advisory Board. If you have younger siblings in your home age 0-4 they may be eligible to receive a FREE book every month by mail from this program. Library Books – Library books are due by June 2nd. Please help your child look for any missing books and try to get them turned in. Teachers should have a list of overdue books. If you are needing to pay for a book, fines can be paid through School Pay on our Gilham webpage under Donate or they can be sent to school with the student’s name, teacher’s name, title of the book and amount due. Please encourage students to keep looking and the fine will be canceled once the book is scanned back in.
REPEAT – District Kinder Event For Enrolling Kinder for 23/24 School Year – Eugene School District 4J welcomes families who will have an incoming kindergarten aged student to join us for a special Welcome to Kindergarten Event on Friday, May 19, 2023 from 5:00-7:00 pm. We invite students and their families to join us for this fun filled evening. The attached flyer has additional information. We hope to see you there!
REPEAT – Intent to Return to Gilham for the 2023/24 School Year — We are collecting information to start planning for next year and we need to know if your student is returning to Gilham. Please respond by May 26th. You will need to submit this for each of your children attending Gilham. Click here for the Intent to Return Form.
PTO Updates:
Thank you to our book fair volunteers for making it happen and to all of our shoppers for making the book fair a great success! We are going to be able to purchase a lot of books for the library.
Thank you to everyone who was able to donate for Teacher Appreciation week! The teachers felt the love and support!
Also, please check the lost and found. We have several items that were left behind at the jogathon, as well as many more items that have turned up since then.
We have moved the date of our final PTO meeting of the year to Thursday, June 1st, at 5:30 in the library!
