Regular School Schedule — The doors will open at 7:50.
Monday – Thursday starting at 7:55 and ending at 2:25.
Friday starts at 7:55 and ends at 1:10.
Check Lost & Found Before Spring Break – Remind your child to check the Lost & Found for missing items. Anything left at the end of next week will be donated. Look for Lost & Found to be moved outside on Tuesday and Wednesday at pick up after school for families to check.
ACE Award Nomination Open Through March 31– What’s better than knowing that spring is around the corner? How about that ACE Awards nomination season is here! 4J is accepting nominations for the 2023 ACE (A Champion in Education) Awards now through March 31.
Nominating a valued educator for the ACE Awards is a wonderful way to honor the incredible talent and dedication of our amazing teachers, classified staff, administrators and volunteers.
We’re thrilled to announce that the 2023 ACE Awards ceremony will be held on Thursday, May 4, 5–7 p.m., at South Eugene High School—the first in-person celebration since 2019!
Every nominee will be recognized, and one nominee in each category will be named ACE Champion and receive a $250 grant for a school or program of their choosing from Eugene Education Foundation. One nominee also may be recognized with a special lifetime achievement award.

*Visit Doughmo’s Cookies on Tuesday, 3/21 and 20% of your purchase will come back to Gilham! No flyer needed, just mention Gilham when ordering. There is even a special Gilham Elementary cookie being served that day!
*The lost and found is being donated during spring break! Look for tables outside after school on Tuesday and Wednesday this week OR stop by the school to look for lost items before Friday. The PTO posts pictures of lost items on their Facebook page weekly. Follow us!
*We have brought in $1,214.74 during the penny drive so far! Thank you for your support! Our goal is $3,000 to support the House Assemblies. The current standings can be seen in the window near the 3rd-5th grade entry. The final day is Friday, March 24th with the winner being announced after spring break.
REPEAT – Bike Donation Drive – Free Bikes 4 Kids – You can help Eugene and Springfield children by bringing Free Bikes 4 Kidz (FB4K) your neglected bikes so they can give them a new purpose, helping kids unlock the keys to good health and independence. On Saturday, April 8, from 9 AM to 2 PM, FB4K is collecting bikes at all Eugene Market of Choice Locations and the Willamalane Bob Keefer Center in Springfield. You get a tax receipt, a roomier garage, and the satisfaction of knowing you’ve done something special.
