Parent Newsletter February 27th, 2023

February 27th, 2023

Hello Gilham Families,

Regular School Schedule — The doors will open at 7:50.
Monday – Thursday  starting at 7:55  and ending at  2:25.
Friday starts at 7:55 and ends at 1:10.

When To Keep Your Child Home From School – The Oregon Department of Education makes guidance around when students need to stay home after being sick, and all school districts in Oregon are required to follow this same guidance. In particular, something that has changed in the post-pandemic era is the switch from 24 hours to 48 hours symptom-free after vomiting or diarrhea. See below:
Vomiting:  May return 48 hours after the last episode of vomiting OR after being seen and cleared by a licensed healthcare provider.
Diarrhea (3 watery or loose stools in one day with or without fever):  May return after 48 hours after diarrhea resolves OR after being seen and cleared by a licensed healthcare provider.
You can review the full guidance on the 4J website: https://www.4j.lane.edu/instruction/studentservices/health/stayinghome/
