School Hours —
Monday – Thursday classes start at 7:55 and end at 2:25.
Friday classes start at 7:55 and end at 1:10.
Doors open at 7:40.
Class starts at 7:55 and students should be in the classroom at that time.
COVID Reminders and Updates – WHEN TO STAY HOME: If you have any of these, you should stay home and it is recommended you get COVID test:
- Fever of 100.4° F or higher
- Sore Throat
- Chills
- Cough (non-persistent, dry coughs are okay, but congested coughs are not)
- Shortness of breath
- Difficulty breathing
- New loss of taste or loss of smell
- Diarrhea
- Vomiting
If your student has any of these symptoms, please keep them at home and call Gilham’s attendance line, 541-790-6225.
If your student has been diagnosed or exposed to COVID-19, or is waiting for test results to check on COVID symptoms, please keep them home and notify the school.

Reminder about iPads — Students need to bring their iPads to school daily. They need to be charged and ready for the day. We have a limited number of extra iPads and chargers in the building which means we may not be able to loan them one to use during the day. Work with your student to start a routine to charge it at night and to put it in their backpack in the morning.
Superintendent Selection Community Forum – The Eugene School Board has begun the process to select the district’s permanent superintendent. All are invited to provide input on strengths, qualities, and priorities for the district’s leader. Public input will be collected through a survey and community forums in January.
