Hello Gilham Families, 

Welcome back to the 2021-22 school year!

This is the start of a new school year.  We are excited to see students back in the buildings starting September 9th for Kindergarten students and September 10th for all students.  More information will be coming about the start of school.  

I hope that everyone has been enjoying the sunshine over the summer.  I personally am ready for some rain.  

Regular School Schedule — We will be returning to a regular school schedule this year.  Monday – Thursday  starting at 7:55  and ending at  2:25.  Friday starting at 7:55 and ending at 1:10.

Enrollment/Registration —  If you have enrollment/registration questions please contact the Gilham Office at 541-790-6200 or email Patti at  You can also find the information on our Gilham website at  

School Building — All 4J school buildings are closed to visitors, but we are open by appointment for families needing to enroll new students or who have other business. To make an appointment contact office staff by email or by phone at (541) 790-6200.

School Supplies — This year the district and school will be supplying all needed school supplies.  Students will need to bring a backpack and a water bottle with them to school.  If you are wanting to donate to a classroom fund or to the school, please reach out to the office for more information.  

Daily Schedule — What will the day look like for students in the building?  Staff and Students will be expected to wear their masks during the day.  We will be social distancing and keeping 3 feet apart.  There will be frequent washing with soap and water or using hand sanitizer.  More information will be coming out. 

Online Learning Options — For more information about online learning options for your child, please visit the district website.  The form is due by August 23rd.

Project Hope — We want you to know about this wonderful opportunity for your students to choose new shoes, socks, and a backpack filled with school supplies. We are thankful to continue partnering with our friends at Project Hope to provide the same back-to-school items in a safe environment!  If you’re interested in the opportunity, please email Linda Willis at for more information.

8/20 — Office is closed

8/23 — The School office is open 

9/9 — First day of school for Kindergarten

9/10 — First day of school for all students
